INSTRUCTIONS

·      Download and unzip MAutomatedTypist1_1.zip (356 KB) on your USB or a directory in your computer. Double click MAutomatedTypist1_1.exe to run the program. After loading, the icon AT1.1 will appear on your system tray and a small status indicator AT1.1 will appear on the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

·      You can suspend the program for only one word by typing ` then the word (the indicator changes to Suspend word then back to AT1.1 after the word. And yes, you get only the word, the ` does not appear in the document).

·      To close the program, right click on the icon and click Exit.

Automatic conversion of typed numbers into date, time, cardinal words or ordinal words: When you type as on the left, you get full terms as on the right:

2112d           ------------->   21 December 201
1255h           ------------->   12 hours 55 minutes                    (in 5 minute steps)
985n             ------------->   nine hundred and eighty five
789o             ------------->   seven hundred and eighty ninth

The letters d, h, n and o represent day, hour, number and order. These terms are readily provided in English, but you can easily change them into any languages, or add more if you like. For example you can add:

97p               ------------->   ninety seven percent
124l              ------------->   Level one hundred and twenty four
14y               ------------->   year two thousand and fourteen                       etc......

You can add, delete or change these terms through the Control Table as shown later.

Autocorrect: You can easily store hundreds of thousands of your own autocorrect terms in the 26 text files, from LetterA.txt to LetterZ.txt. As above, you can access these files through the Control Panel or open them yourself. Unlike autocorrect of MSWord, the whole program can be store on a USB, so you can use your autocorrect terms on any computer or any application (web, email, etc), and you do not lose them when your computer crashes or when you move to a new computer. Also, you can also easily open these text files to check. Another difference is that you can store up to 26 full terms for each autocorrect term, separated by a slash /. There are three examples in the file LetterA.txt:

ad§advertisement
admin§administration office/administrative officer/add a minimum amount of
addmy§house number 00{Enter}Elizabeth road{Enter}orange

When you type ad, you get advertisement in your document or email

When you type amin, you get a dialogue box to choose:

1. administration office    2. administrative officer   3. add a minimum amount of

If you type Amin (first capital letter is the key), the words will change to:

1. Administration office    2. Administrative officer   3. Add a minimum amount of

If you type ADmin or aDmin (second capital letter is the key), the words will change to:
1. Administration Office    2. Administrative Officer   3. Add A Minimum Amount Of

If you type ADMin or adMin or more capital letters (third capital letter is the key), the words will change to:

1. ADMINISTRATION OFFICE    2. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER   3. ADD A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF

When you type Addmy, you get this (the code {Enter} is for next line, {Tab} is for a Tab):
